Hornets, Bank of America, and USO of NC Pack Build
The USO of North Carolina is proud to team up with our partners The Charlotte Hornets and Bank of America . March 2nd, 2020 we filled the Spectrum Center in Uptown Charlotte with hundreds of USO of NC, Bank of America, and Hornets employees, players, and volunteers. Together we joined forces to assemble over 4,000 care packages to be delivered to troops with upcoming deployments.
What do these care packages include? We deliver the most requested items and favorite snacks per request from our deploying service men and women. In addition, we want to provide our service members with a sense of home and country. This is why we place a hand written note and an American pocket flag in each individual bag. Showing our support with words of encouragement, and letting our military know that we appreciate the sacrifices they make to keep us safe back home.
Events like this help our mission to connect troops to family, home, and country and wouldn’t be possible without the generous support from our donors and partners. We appreciate all of the volunteers, employees, and players that participated at this event. We look forward to an exciting year at USO of NC and are grateful to have such support!
