USO North Carolina's Outdoor Adventure Team
The USO North Carolina’s Outdoor Adventure Team (OAT) program is based on the simple belief that military service members engaging together in physical activity provides shared experiences that fortify against future struggles associated with the demanding needs of the military lifestyle.
OAT Program Goals:
Encourage lasting personal connections through physical challenges and adventures
Create sustainable healthy living practices
Provide exciting opportunities to explore new outdoor hobbies
Build relationships with local North Carolina communities
Whether searching for the wild Banker horses of the Outer Banks, ziplining through the Sandhills, deep sea fishing in the Atlantic, or waterfall hikes in the western mountains, OAT has created experiences that help fortify against potential struggles associated with the demanding needs of the military lifestyle.
