USO North Carolina's Outdoor Adventure Team
USO North Carolina’s Outdoor Adventure Team (OAT) is a peer-led health and wellness program designed for service members and their families to connect over physical challenges AND adventure to encourage sustainable healthy living. OAT activities focus on four core pillars; wellness, sleep, nutrition, and resiliency, and have the adaptability and scalability to include wounded, ill, or injured service members as a supplement to their ongoing physical rehabilitation efforts. Our OAT program treats the warrior and the family as a comprehensive unit, believing that engaging together in physical activity not only provides valuable opportunities for creating lasting memories but that these moments and shared experiences fortify against future struggles associated with the demanding needs of a military lifestyle. Upcoming adventures will be posted under our Events Tab For questions contact our Programs Manager- Katie Kassa, kkassa@uso.org
