Yin & Restorative yoga helps to promote balance within your body by working the deep connective tissues. We will hold the poses longer; 3-5 minutes, allowing the deeper, less flexible tissues in your body the time to stretch. Rather than strengthening your muscles, as other forms of yoga do, yin yoga is more likely to improve your overall flexibility and range of motion. Be prepared to relax, experience passive postures, and engage in conscious and controlled breathing to help you to connect with your physical self, emotions and sensations.
