Deployment and Homecoming Support
When they’re called, we’re there
Our committed volunteers support service members and families as they prepare for deployments or sweet homecomings. Our volunteers travel to departure and homecoming sites to hand out care packages, provide comfort and assistance, and bring a little bit of home when it is needed the most. Units, service members or families can request care pack or rack pack support in North Carolina by contacting our Jacksonville, Raleigh-Durham, Charlotte or Fort Bragg centers.
Our Fort Bragg center also offers a KidsCorner, keeping children active and engaged during these emotional, busy and crowded homecoming and deployment events.
While service members are deployed, the USO of NC offers families opportunities to stay connected through our Smiles Over Miles program. Families can create DVDs to send to their deployed service members at our USO of NC Fort Bragg and Jacksonville centers. Smiles Over Miles is a free program for Military ID Card holders.
